Adopt-A-Block
As Volunteer Coordinator for Kane County Adopt-A-Block we are pleased to announce that one of our sister counties is going forward with the program .
Progress both financially and on the rebuilding will be posted on the website and a small memoir will be placed at the building site which says "Kane County, IL Cares". The overall goal of the program is to encourage other counties (of which Illinois alone has 98) to also Adopt-A-Block.

Between August 29, 2007 and December 31, 2007 McHenry County will continue the goal is to raise enough money to rebuild one block of the area devastated by Hurricane Katrina in partnership with Habitat for Humanity of the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
100% of the donations are deposited into a Savings
Account and 100% TAX DEDUCTIBLE!
Donations
of Labor will be forwarded to the Local Habitat for Humanity
for coordination.

and by telling your neighbors how they too can Adopt-A-Block!
